The in-between has been an incredibly busy place lately. In fact, sometimes I’m surprised how busy things are! When I entered this sabbatical season I promised myself that I would make the most of the time I had by enjoying things that I may not have had time to do when I worked full time, or even things that would have been impossible to do with my previous schedule. I’ve enjoyed visiting over brats & pretzels with friends and reminiscing about our time in Germany, making new ones through study, cooking classes, networking and job search meetings. I even picked up a contract project and I’m loving every minute of it!
The website and portfolio are now complete (go check it out at lindabowendesign.com) along with all my personal branding pieces. Job applications are being filled out and submitted. And then starts the hardest part of the in-between…waiting to hear back from various businesses and organizations to see if they like my work and if I might be a good fit for what they need.
The thing I’ve been the most grateful for is all the support and encouraging words I have received from family and friends, both old and new. Thank you for the phone calls and text messages “just because you were thinking about me”. Thank you for all the job leads, connections and advice. For those that took the time to scour my website to help me make sure everything worked “just right”, helped me proof all the various and sundry pieces of these projects & assisted in photography, I cannot thank you enough. I’m so blessed by the people that surround me!
